CORD BLOOD
Cord blood banking is the process of collecting and storing the blood from a newborn’s umbilical cord after birth. This blood is rich in stem cells, which can be used to treat various diseases such as leukemia, lymphoma, and certain genetic disorders. The collected cord blood is either stored in a private bank for potential personal or family use, or donated to a public bank to help others in need. Please find more information below.
