THIRD TRIMESTER
Your third trimester leaves you with only a few weeks until labor! We may see you more often during this trimester as we get closer to your due date. We will continue to review the proper ways to take care of yourself, along with common concerns at this time, such as false labor, what to do when you do go into the real labor.

Third Trimester Roadmap and Todo List:

Tdap is offered anytime in the third trimester, and the RSV Vaccine by the way 32-36 weeks during the RSV season

Routine Urine Culture: third trimester

Breast-pump + Cord Blood Banking

GBS Testing at 36-37 weeks

Weekly in-person visits starting at 37 weeks

Possible Office NST and ultrasound

41 weeks: Induction of labor

Some expectations in the Third Trimester:

Fetal movements: Keep track of Fetal kick counts

Expect random abdominal tightness (False alarms, aka Braxton hicks!)

Do Kegels exercise: 15-20 times/day - To strengthen pelvic floor muscles

Expect random vaginal, abdominal, and pubic pain
​

Expect sleep disturbances (generally low energy)
​

Consider prenatal yoga if you haven't started
​

Expect more constipation and acidity
​
-
Expect some level of shortness of breath upon exertion
